Alright everyone, here's an update on Brenna. The poor thing. Just when it seemed like everyone was getting better BAM she gets it. And in a worse way than the rest of us. But don't worry, she is going to SURVIVE! I did take her to the doc's, and just as I suspected, it is viral. Even though her temp spiked clear up to almost 102*! So it's mostly upper airway, like croup. SO he recommended some steroids for 3 days. I did fill the prescription, but I only gave her two doses. I know, I make a really bad patient. Even though I'm a nurse, I really don't like the use of medicine unless it's absolutely necessary. The steroids are for anti-inflammatory purposes, so since she seems less 'inflammed," I did not administer. The croupy barky-ness is definitely worse when she cries...in fact she starts to sound rather like a monster when she gets all worked up. So we have done everything we can to stop her from crying EVER, and I think she has caught on to the game. She seriously cries when I am not holding her ALL. THE. TIME. I love her. But sometimes I do not want to hold her while trying to do my hair...or make dinner...
So today my really sweet visiting teacher came to visit me. I must have looked HORRENDOUS! I had been SO overwhelmed taking care of Brenna (and Kaylee is always loving the spotlight) so by the time she came by, I had just barely showered and dried my hair (which looks like a wild animal at this stage of the hair-doing process), and it was late afternoon. I explained to her how it's been so crazy with all the illnesses and doctor visits, and crying baby. She gave me the hand out and left me to my madness. I was so embarassed. I felt so frustrated, like my life is just so out of my control! How can I do this? How do people have more than 2 kids? I am not cut out for it! I need some time to BREATHE!
BUT much to my suprise and relief and joy, she called later saying she was coming by to bring dinner. I seriously wanted to cry! I was so overwhelmed with relief! It was exactly what I needed before having a nervous breakdown. Even though I'm sure she'll never read this, I just want to shout out a big THANK YOU for a ray of sunshine on my cloudy day that saved my sanity. All is well at the Bringhurst house. Halleleuia!!!
When I can get control of my life again, I will be posting about my dad/sisters visit last week...so stay tuned!!

Look look look at what I learned how to do! I know, it's very basic, but a new little hobby of mine! This is my very first digital scrapbook kit with my OWN elements! Wooohooo!!!
Here are some very basic examples of how you can use my elements.

Cute huh?

And here's the kit! Enjoy decorating your 4th and 24th of July pictures!

Trip to the zoo...digital scrapbook kit...freebie
Hmmmm....what is digital scrapbooking?
Well, in a nut shell, it's scrapbook elements, only they're digital. You can download kits for free from many sites. I have just started creating my own, and I throw them out here and there!
What you do is:
1) You download your kit, whether you pay for it or not {digiscrap depot has THOUSANDS of free options}.
2) You unzip the file.
3)You open the kit in your photo editing software (I use Photoshop). Here is a great tutorial on decorating your own blog background.
4)You use your software to dress up your pictures! You can order prints through various printing sites online! {Snapfish, Kodak, even Walmart}

Here is another kit! I'm really happy with the way this one turned out. Click HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE KIT...it's free!
***If you are using this kit to decorate your blog, please link back to me! Otherwise, use it however you want!
Click here to learn how to unzip a file once it's downloaded.
When I get around to using this kit for MY kids' recent trip to the zoo, I will share.
Have a great day!

Randomness...and Valentine's Day
We'll start with a bit of randomness. These pictures are seriously so so good, and I will tell you why. Kaylee's EXACT words while I was taking these pictures were, "We don't eat BUGARS!!!" I know! I am a genius photographer for catching this precious moment in time!

And thank you! To the Housers! For letting Brenna borrow this fun little gadget. Brenna LOVES it. She bounces like a wild child in it! She can bounce for the longest time, and just never get sick of it! One time she bounced herself to sleep! (I didn't get that one on camera, but I'm working on it.)

Ah, what a romantic Valentine's Day it was! My wonderful husband who loves me gave me these beautiful white roses.

So what I did for him was I gave him an invitation to a picnic in the living room. I lit candles, threw around some fake rose petals, and made some manicotti and cheese cake to eat!

We decided to invite the girls. I know, so romantic, huh? Brenna didn't last long. She had to go to bed because she was screaming. Kaylee thought it was a tea party, so she got her snow white dress on and kept wanting to 'clank' glasses and say, "CHEERS!"

To finish out the evening, Kaylee and I took turns dancing with the Prince. I didn't mind sharing.

Kaylee feeds Brenna
So some of these pictures are really blurry, but flippin' hilarious! The other day, Kaylee, being the big helper she is, wanted to help me by feeding Brenna. I said SURE! And ran and grabbed my camera. So I think these pictures MAY be blurry because I was laughing while taking them. I love to watch them interact!

Brenna is looking at me here because I'm laughing!
Look at that face! And Kaylee looks pretty proud too!
