Apple Crisp

This was my first time making apple crisp. It turned out delicious.

6 medium apples
3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup cornmeal
3/4 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup soft margarine

You're gonna want to slice and peel the apples.
Pre-heat oven to 325*. Using a little of the margarine, thoroughly grease a skillet. Arrange apple slices in skillet, then sprinkle with 2 Tbsp of the brown sugar and half the cinnamon. On stove top, warm the apples over medium heat.

Combine the remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, cornmeal and oats. Stir mix completely. Cut in margarine and mash until you have a crumbly mixture.
Sprinkle evenly over apples.

Bake 30-35 min. until topping is brown. Don't overcook. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. I personally prefer ice cream!
