Tater Tot Casserole

I just had to share this recipe, one that is SUPER kid friendly. My kids seriously love it. But how could they not, I mean there are tater tots in it.

Start with:

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped

Brown in large pan.

Then add:

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups canned milk
2 pound package tater-tots

Mix lightly. Simmer 25-30 min.

I serve this over rice.

you should add..super husband friendly too. Maybe it is just mine. but instead of asking for something like a steak or burger his first thing he says is, "tater tot casserole." Maybe its just cause I dont make it that often. But it is super yummy. And Hayden loves it too and its a good way to hide veggies.

Hey Sarah, I love making that too! Unfortunately for me, it's not husband-friendly. :( Once I have a few more kiddos at the table, we will outnumber him and we can have it all the time! Ha! :) Your new blog look is so cute by the way.

My sister made this for years. But instead of browning the hamburger, she would place it in the bottom of a casserole, add the onions. Pour the soups on top, and the tater tots and bake it in the oven until the hamburger cooked and was bubbly then put cheese on top.

We love this too. It's called (correct me if I'm wrong, "hot dish" in the mid-west). I like to stir in a can or two of drained mushrooms and we serve it with blobs of ketchup! It's a food group at our house (ketchup, not casserole)! :)
