Beautiful babies.

On Monday the 13th, an old highschool friend of mine, Shannon Elizabeth Burgess (with Shannon Elizabeth photography) took pictures of my kiddos. We went to this old abandoned house. It was raining on and off that day, and 30 min. before the shoot, it was bright and sunny outside, then right when Shannon came, it started sprinkling! DANG weather! We persevered though because frankly it took me all day to get those kids ready...I was NOT going to reschedule! It was funny, because right before she came, the kids were laughing and playing so cute, then they saw Shannon and started pulling their 'I need to take a nap and I'm really annoyed' faces. Nevertheless, Shannon took some GREAT shots.

ENJOY!

On Tuesday the 14th, it was my Basic Life Support recertification. It's so strange to me...this year instead of 'ABCD' (Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Defibrillation), it's CABD (Circulation, Airway, Breathing, Defibrillation). It actually is easier, because instead of looking and feeling for breathing, you just check the pulse, and if you don't feel one, you just jump right into compressions.

Later that night we had activity days. We made 'firework pens' out of pens, white duct tape, and red white and blue garland coming out the top. The girls had a lot of fun making them. We are taking them to an assisted living to pass out among the residents for activity days tomorrow. It should be really fun!
